Public Ed’s Role in Community Safety

When Texans need help, they often look to public schools. The Texas Association of School Business Officials (TASBO) is producing a new documentary, “Helping Hands,” to highlight the importance of public education in community safety and disaster relief. TASBO will preview the documentary, discuss the different elements between school safety and community safety, and cover lessons learned from districts impacted during recent tragedies, such as the hill country floods last summer.
